Event organized by Motueka Catchment Collective's Biodiversity and Restoration group

Saturday 21 March, 10am - 12pm.
At a farm near Tapawera (address will be supplied)

For farmers, landowners, lifestyle block owners and anyone interested in native restoration:
Learn how to eco‑source and collect seed in a remnant forest on a working farm.

Hear from Shannel Courtney, a highly respected botanist with decades of experience across the top of the South, on right‑tree/right‑place, eco‑sourcing, species ID, rare natives and collecting wild seedlings.

The workshop includes a short bush walk to identify seeding plants and collect seed, followed by hands‑on demonstrations of seed processing and sowing. You’ll also sow your own tray of seed and see a simple home seed‑raising setup.

BYO lunch. There will be some fruit and bikkies provided along with cold drinks.

This event is limited to 20 people.
