2SLGBTQIA+ Community Survey

The 2SLGBTQIA+ Community Survey was developed by the Truro Pride Society, in collaboration with community partners for the purpose of examining needs, priorities, and gaps in services for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals throughout Colchester County.

The Truro Pride Society's mission is to improve the representation and wellbeing of the local 2SLGBTQIA+community within the larger communities of Truro and Colchester County while celebrating the diversity, uniqueness, and relevance of us all in relation to each other. By answering these questions, you are helping to improve the wellbeing of our community members. Thank you!

To note: We would like to collect optional demographic data to help us understand the nuances of needs in our community as we are aware that intersectional identities exist and that there are factors that influence our ability to access services. If you are comfortable doing so, please answer the demographic questions. The data collected by this survey will be anonymous.

This list is not exhaustive, but intended to provide a better understanding of which systems and agencies are in contact and/or engage with members of our community most frequently, as well as determine the need for the implementation of specialized supports. *We acknowledge that racism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of violence are prevalent in our community and throughout the settler colonial state. It can be assumed that 2SLGBTQIA+ people, especially those that are racialized have experienced varying levels of violence and discrimination, not all of which are included on this list.*
