About the Virginia Farm to School Regional Network
The Virginia Farm to School Network aims to elevate the health and well-being of Virginia’s students by increasing access to fresh, healthy, locally-procured foods and food literacy opportunities for all children in Virginia. The network desires to create and strengthen markets for Virginia grown products in schools, preschools, and summer feeding programs. The Virginia Farm to School Goal is to procure $22 million of local food annually in Virginia child nutrition programs.
When you join the network, you will receive contact information of others in your region who want to connect around increasing access to fresh, healthy, locally-raised foods for Virginia's children. You will receive quarterly newsletters and you will be invited to all Virginia Farm to School events.
