An exploration and study of redevelopment strategies for the former St. Luke’s Hospital 53-acre campus.
Oneida County, Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS), Mohawk Valley EDGE (Economic Development Growth Enterprises Corporation) and the Town of New Hartford are partnering to undertake a master planning process for re-use of this site. With the completion of Wynn Hospital in downtown Utica, the majority of the St. Luke’s Hospital campus is closed and prime for redevelopment. St. Luke’s Home will continue its nursing, rehabilitation and residential operations at its existing location. The project will generate alternative options for reuse of the former hospital campus, presenting an incredible opportunity to develop significant and long-lasting benefits for generations to come. A robust community engagement process will support this planning process from February 2024 through September 2024.
