Training Approach
I apply a shaping method for the majority of my training- using toy play, praise and food rewards. Most of my process/curriculum for teaching water work skills, was gleaned from the excellent coaching I received in the sport from masters in this game – most specifically Gathy Gadd. This is complimented by my obedience foundation and the knowledge obtained from working with a variety of dogs over the years. My strengths are my ability to apply a proven process and to adjust its application to each dog and the needs and learning style of each student. Additionally I have strong problem solving skills- that are so important in addressing learning challenges. Most importantly I have learned from each dog and each student!
