Name Our Council Theater

Key Biscayne is rolling out the red carpet!

Did you know that our Council Chamber doubles as a cozy community theater? Now, it needs a name and we’re asking you to submit your most creative name!

Submit your best idea by December 1.

Selection criteria:

1. Relevance to the Village: The name should reflect Key Biscayne’s identity, history, or island charm—something residents can feel proud of.

2. Memorability: It should be easy to remember and say, so people naturally talk about it and share it with friends.

3. Creativity & Originality: The name should feel fresh, unique, and engaging—not generic or overused.

4. Brevity & Clarity: Shorter names or those that roll off the tongue work best for signage, marketing, and social media.

5. Community Appeal: Since it’s a community space, the name should be appropriate for all ages.

The winning entry will leave a lasting mark on Key Biscayne: your creative name will be proudly displayed on the Village Theater! Plus, you’ll get the special honor of picking the first movie to be shown at the theater — a night of fun for you and the community to celebrate your winning idea! Everyone who submits a name will be invited to the theater’s special movie night so you can join the celebration and see the winning name in action!

Disclaimer: In the event that multiple entries submit the same winning name, the Village will select the winner based on a random drawing among those entries. Only one winner will "officially" be awarded the theater-naming honor and movie-selection opportunity. **Please note that the theater capacity is limited to the first 50 who arrive.**
