INTRODUCTION
Over the next year, Food Well Alliance and the Atlanta Regional Commission will work with the City of Clarkston to develop a City Agriculture Plan. This is an opportunity to tell us about your experience with accessing and growing fresh, local food as a Clarkston community member.
This survey will take about 10 minutes and your response will remain anonymous. The first 100 participants in this survey will be eligible for a payment of $10. Instructions to receive payment will be provided at the end of the survey. If you want to participate in an interview or focus group to share more feedback, you can also share your contact information.
The results of this survey will be made available to the public after the survey has been closed.
What is a City Agriculture Plan?
A City Agriculture Plan is a set of policy and program recommendations for a city to strengthen the local food system over the next 3-5 years. We will use feedback from this survey to make recommendations for new city policies and community programs to increase access to fresh, local food and support the farmers, gardeners, local businesses, and residents of Clarkston. This program is funded by a $75,000 grant from Food Well Alliance with support from the City of Clarkston.
What do we mean by “local food system”?
The local food system is the network of people growing, processing, cooking, selling, and eating food in the metro Atlanta region. Strengthening the local food system deepens relationships between growers and residents and increases opportunities to eat healthy, fresh food.
