Securing the Asian mega-deltas against sea-level rise, flooding and salinization |
Thank you for joining this initiative hosted by the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), together with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), WorldFish, CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), and World Resources Institute (WRI). This survey is the first step towards a more comprehensive process directed at better understanding of stakeholder perspectives and building partnerships for climate resilience in the Mega-deltas.
The results of this survey will inform the content and design of the online event held on 30 June, 2020, at 3:00 PM ICT, that will tackle how to transform Asian Mega-deltas into resilient and inclusive agricultural landscapes with low-emissions supply chains for high value products. Specifically, it will aim to:
1) Discuss the key food security and climate change issues affecting the Asian Mega-deltas;
2) Assess how new solutions can be designed to help address the identified challenges; and
3) Tackle the opportunities and challenges related to partnership and collaboration in this initiative.
To realize our vision of transforming the Mega-deltas into climate-resilient and nature-inclusive agricultural landscapes, the CGIAR 2° Initiative will harness the power of strong collaboration with local partners. Dubbed as a “listening session”, this online event is one way of encouraging you, our key partners, to be involved in the development process and implementation of this initiative. We start our journey with this online survey to map out your views, issues, and initiatives.
We kindly ask you to complete the survey by 19 June. It will take around 10 min to complete. Your responses will remain confidential and are handled by Korumo, the facilitation team. We will need your contact details for further engagement and invitation to subsequent events. At the end of the survey we will ask you to confirm your attendance to the webinar on 30 June. If you are unable to attend, we urge you to nominate a representative.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey and engage in this process.
