The 2018 kNOw MORE Training:
Understanding & Assisting Trauma Victims of Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence

This training promotes techniques and best practices when responding to incidents involving sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Attendees will learn how to improve victim services, investigations, prosecutions, and enhance community involvement. 

Featured Trainer: Dawn Jones 
Dawn Jones has been a law enforcement officer for 25 years. During her time in law enforcement she held several assignments including working in the Vice Control Division and Sensitive Crimes Division of the Milwaukee Police Department. She was a federally deputized task force officer and worked on the Eastern District Human Trafficking Task Force. She was assigned to the Human Trafficking Task Force for over nine years. She was then promoted to Lieutenant and served as the supervisor in charge of the Domestic Violence Unit and the Missing Person Unit. She teaches people how to identify and assist victims of Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Elder Abuse and Child Abuse. She shares her experiences to help other law enforcement officers build successful criminal cases that hold the offenders accountable. She promotes combined efforts between victim services, community professionals, community members and law enforcement to assist the victims as well as prosecute the offenders.
