Following a major emergency, it is standard practice to conduct an After-Action Report (AAR) and develop an Improvement Plan (IP). The City of La Cañada Flintridge is preparing an AAR and IP to evaluate its response to the 2025 Eaton Fire. We want to hear directly from community members and businesses about what worked well, where challenges arose, and how the City can improve preparedness, response, and recovery in future emergencies.
As a contract city, La Cañada Flintridge relies on Los Angeles County for many emergency management functions and all first responder response resources. This means the City coordinates closely with County departments and regional response partners while maintaining its own EOC and local responsibilities. In completing this survey, please focus your feedback on the City’s role, as other functions are handled by the County or regional agencies.
Your input will help identify strengths, gaps, and recommendations for enhancing the City’s emergency management capabilities within this broader response framework. This survey should take approximately 5–15 minutes to complete, depending on the level of detail you provide. Please note: All responses are anonymous. No identifying information will be collected, and your input will only be used to inform the AAR and IP to directly integrate into future planning and City services.
