The 2026 One Percent (1%) Sales Tax Survey

Your voice matters. Every registered voter in Campbell County receives this survey, providing a direct opportunity to help establish priorities funded by the One Percent Sales Tax.

Since 1976, funds generated by the Optional One Percent Sales Tax have remained in Campbell County to strengthen infrastructure, bolster public safety, support health and social service organizations, and improve our community’s quality of life. The local dollars are reinvested into our community and, whenever possible, are leveraged through matching state and federal funds to increase their impact. For more information about the projects and services the tax has been used for, visit www.InformGillette.com.

The One Percent Sales Tax applies only to items that are subject to sales and use tax. It does not apply to rental payments, home purchases, food, or gasoline purchases. Notably, it is estimated that visitors and tourists contribute as much as (20%) of the revenue generated.
