What’s important to you about Donegal?
The County Donegal Heritage Plan provides a framework for managing, conserving, protecting and sharing our Heritage with future generations. Our Heritage includes our Natural Environment – our wildlife and unique habitats of flora and fauna, and our distinctive geology; it includes our Built Environment – our historic buildings, landscapes, parks and gardens shaped by human design; it includes our Archaeology – the monuments, ancient objects, and wrecks that lie around and beneath us; and it includes our Cultural Inheritance - our skills, our folklore, our traditions and our archives. Our Heritage is vast and vital.
We’re making plans for the next five years, so we need to know:
What’s important to you about your Donegal Heritage?
If there is a place or a building, a habitat or an archaeological site, a tradition or a custom that you think needs to be managed, conserved, protected and shared, please let us know what is important to you.
If you feel that the Heritage Office and Heritage Forum can improve on what we do, then please let us know what it is we need to do better.
This is our place, our home, our story. Let’s work together to conserve, protect and pass it on.
