Childhood Obesity in the West End: A Healthier Path Forward

The Louisville Urban League is proud to announce that we have been awarded a significant grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for our program, A Healthier Path Forward.

This grant represents a powerful opportunity to tackle one of the most pressing health challenges facing our city: childhood obesity. Kentucky ranks third in the nation for the highest rates of childhood obesity, and here in Louisville, this issue disproportionately affects 12 of our lowest-income neighborhoods, most of which are predominantly Black communities.
