The Good News Foundation Awards & Recognition Program seeks to honor individuals and organizations whose service, generosity, and commitment to evangelization exemplify Christian values and advance the mission of sharing the Good News.

Awards may be presented annually at the discretion of the Board of Directors. The Board reserves the right not to present an award in a category if suitable nominees are not identified.

4.Friends of The Good News Foundation Award Information:
Purpose: To recognize an individual, family, business, ministry, parish, or organization that has demonstrated exceptional support of The Good News Foundation through volunteerism, partnership, advocacy, leadership, or service.

Eligibility:
• Must come from a member of the Good News Foundation Community itself (Board member, staff / facilitator, volunteer or regular attendee of the Foundation's events / activities or groups.)
• May be an individual or organization.
• Current Board members and staff may submit nominations.

Criteria: Nominees should demonstrate one or more of the following:
• Exceptional service to The Good News Foundation.
• Significant volunteer contributions.
• Promotion and support of the Foundation's mission.
• Leadership that has positively impacted the Foundation's programs, ministries, or outreach.
• Consistent commitment to advancing the work of The Good News Foundation.
5.Steward of The Good News Foundation Award:
Purpose: To recognize extraordinary financial stewardship and generosity in support of The Good News Foundation.

Eligibility:
• Must come from a member of the Good News Foundation Community itself (Board member, staff / facilitator, volunteer or regular attendee of the Foundation's events / activities or groups.)
• Individual, family, business, parish, foundation, or organization.
• Nominees must have made a minimum contribution of $5,000 through financial gifts or an equivalent contribution through project support, donated services, materials, or capital improvements benefiting The Good News Foundation.

Criteria Nominees should demonstrate:
• Outstanding financial support of The Good News Foundation.
• Commitment to sustaining and advancing the Foundation's mission.
• Generosity that has made a meaningful impact on programs, facilities, ministries, or outreach efforts.
• Ongoing dedication to the growth and future of The Good News Foundation.
6.Evangelist Award:
Purpose: To recognize an individual or organization whose ministry, leadership, service, or outreach has significantly advanced evangelization and the sharing of the Gospel throughout Central New York.

Eligibility:
• Open to individuals and organizations throughout Central New York.
• Nominees are not required to have a direct affiliation with The Good News Foundation or The Good News Center.
• Past Good News Foundation grant recipients may be considered.

Criteria Nominees should demonstrate:
• Outstanding commitment to evangelization.
• Meaningful impact on individuals, families, communities, or the Church.
• Creative or effective approaches to sharing the Gospel.
• Leadership and witness rooted in Christian values.
• Measurable or observable impact through ministry, outreach, education, or service.

10.Selection Process

1. Nominations will be accepted annually during a designated nomination period. For the 2026 award cycle, nominations will be accepted from August 3, 2026 through September 10, 2026.

2. Applications will be reviewed by the Awards & Recognition Committee.

3. The committee will present its recommendations to the Board of Directors for consideration.

4. Final recipient approval rests with the Board of Directors.

5. Award recipients will be recognized annually at a recognition dinner or ceremony designated by the Board of Directors.

6. Selected recipients will be notified and invited to attend the recognition ceremony, where they will be formally honored.

The Board of Directors reserves the right to modify criteria, defer awards, or determine the number of recipients in any given year.
