Join us for a yearlong professional learning experience in outdoor learning designed to help New Mexico educators move from learning about outdoor education to putting it into practice with students.

Throughout the year, participants will use the New Mexico Outdoor Learning Framework to explore safe, equitable, culturally responsive, and academically meaningful outdoor learning. Together, we’ll connect place-based learning to standards and everyday instruction while exploring how local environments, cultures, and communities can enrich teaching and learning.

This is an active, yearlong learning experience. Participants will attend two in-person sessions and four virtual sessions, complete learning activities between sessions, implement and reflect on outdoor learning experiences with students, and develop a plan for continued implementation.

Audience:
  • Classroom teachers
