Please fill out the form below if you are seeking free online or phone therapy and are currently providing essential services related to COVID-19 on PEI.

We will do our best to accommodate your request, and if we have an available volunteer, you will be sent a licensed therapist's contact info by email. *Please note, if you have access to Benefits or a workplace EAP, please take advantage of those services first.

We would also like to direct people to PEI's free mental health services, available to all islanders, found here.

The contents of this form will only be seen by a licensed counsellor. All personal information is handled securely and in confidence.

If you would prefer to request support via email, contact us at lightheartcounselling@gmail.com. This email account is accessed solely by a licensed therapist.

MORE DETAILS ABOUT HOW THIS WORKS

When we receive your request for support, we send you an email within 24-48 hours with the name and email address of a licensed therapist for you to connect with (if we do not have any volunteers available, we will also communicate that). Counsellors will offer a maximum of 3 free sessions. When selecting referrals, we do not endorse any specific type of therapy, therapeutic school or professional therapeutic background. The referrals will include each counsellor's contact information and, if provided to us, their website so you can learn more about their background and decide if you would like to proceed.
