VITA Tax Prep at CASH - Empire Justice Center
CASH is now scheduling appointments for our Tax Year 2025 Season! Our first appointments at our main tax site in the Central Library will start on Tuesday, January 27th, 2026, and run until Wednesday, April 15th, 2026!
We will begin with ONLY offering 2025 taxes in January and February. Starting in March we will ALSO offer prior year tax filing for 2024, 2023, and 2022. In April we will only offer to file 2025 and 2022 taxes.
We will also be offering drop-off 2025 returns at our partner site at the Thurston Road YMCA on Saturdays! (Please note that if you need language access support or are self-employed you must schedule your appointment at the main CASH site - NOT the YMCA.)
If you need a bank account, we are excited to announce that M&T Bank will be tabling at the CASH site in the Central Library every Wednesday from 9a-12p and every Thursday from 1-4p during the tax season to help clients open bank accounts! You do not need an appointment to meet with them. These accounts will take a few days to activate, so please plan to stop in at least ONE WEEK prior to your tax prep appointment so the account will be active and ready to receive any refund you may be owed.
