How to Schedule Message Delivery

After Composing your message and clicking [Save & Preview], the Message Summary page opens. From the Message Summary Page, you will Schedule the Delivery of your message.

Message Summary Page

The message summary page provides the following options: 

  • Preview your message and review its recipients
  • Review the Recipients of your message
  • Send a test message
  • Schedule Delivery
Message Preview
To make any changes to the Recipients and/or E-Mail Message, click the [Edit] buttons.
View Recipients
Click the [View] button under the Recipients to see the recipients that will be sent this message.
 Do Not Copy the message from the message summary page for use.  The link is a "sample" link and does not work.

Test Message

To send a test message, click [Send a Test Message].

What does the test message feature do? 

A test copy of the message will be sent to the Email address you enter. The information entered in the First Name, Last Name, and Custom Data fields work as if they had been entered in your message via the custom tags from your email list. This means the tags will populate the information you included in your email; however, this data will not show in your results. Instead, the tracking information displays as a Administrator Preview as the Response Type.

The test message feature tests the formatting of your message only. *To test how the link works, please send an actual message instead of using the test message feature. You can use the custom criteria option to send the message to only one person in your list or create a 'Test' Collector. If you create a 'Test' Collector, please format the second Collector settings exactly the same as you set the Collector you will be sending to your recipients.

Scheduling the Delivery of the Message

To send your message:

  1. Click [Schedule Delivery] to open the Schedule Message Delivery page
  2. Select when to send the message
  3. Click [Send Message]
  4. Message Manager page opens showing delivery status

Can I Schedule Delivery for a Future Date?

When you click the Schedule Delivery button, you have the choice of sending your message right away or at a future date. By default, send message immediately is selected. To send the message at a later date, select "Send the message at a future date" and enter the details.

Click [Send Message] to send the message.  This will open the Message Manager page where you will see the progress of your sent message.

Terms of Use Agreement

When you click [Schedule Delivery] for the first time, the Terms of Use Agreement page opens.  The first time you create an e-mail collector you will need to agree to the terms of agreement. To do so, enter your contact information and agree to the terms of agreement. The next time you click [Schedule Delivery], the Schedule Message Delivery page will open directly.

Stop The Message! 

To cancel sending the message, click the Cancel button next to the message in the Sent/Scheduled Messages section. This will cancel the message and move it into your drafts. You've got a 5 minute window to do so unless it has been scheduled for future delivery.
