Can I Export Filtered Results?

   Saved Filters

After you've applied a filter, only the results "matching" your filter are displayed.

To Edit or Remove filters currently applied to your results, click [Edit Filter] or [Un-apply] after opening the filters for the survey.

Click the [Edit Filter] button to edit currently applied filters.

Click the [Un-apply] button to disengage filters currently set for your results.

The blue header on the Results Summary page indicates that the Filter is applied and displays the number of visible filtered responses versus the total number of collected responses.
Tip:Only one filter (one set of data) may be applied to your results at a time.

Example:

Let's say you have collected responses for multiple schools. Now, you need to export reports for each school individually. To do so, you'll create a filter for each school (an individual filter for each) and then apply one of the filters to your results and export the results with the filter applied. Repeat for each school.

Total Responses

It's important to understand that the analyze section displays and exports only one set of data at a time. This means you will need to create a filter for each school, apply that filter and then export your results with the filter applied.

Please follow these steps to apply your filter and then export the data with the filter applied.

In this example, the survey has 220 total responses. We will find all of the responses for respondents that selected Carmel Elementary and export those responses only.

Step one

Create the filter to show all respondents that selected Carmel Elementary
  1. Select the question to filter for the respondents that answered it. In this case "What school do your children attend..."
  2. Select the response or choice selected for that question that you want to see in your results.

Applying Saved Filters

After you have created a filter configuration, clicking the [Filter Responses] button from the Response Summary Page opens the Saved Filters page.

From the "Saved Filters" paged. You may quickly apply a saved filter to your results by clicking the [Apply Filter] button for the saved filter.

Example of Saved Filters

Clicking the Filter Title or [Edit Filter] button opens the Filter Editor page, where you may modify the filter settings.

  • To delete a filter, click the [Delete Filter] button
  • Click [Add New Filter] to add an additional filter

Tip:

Use the custom report feature to dynamically hide all of the other questions in the survey to show results for only one question!
Tip:You may use the custom report feature and apply a different filter to each report. You can then quickly select each report with the filter applied to export the report with the respective filter applied. This way, you can save your filter configuration and toggle between reports to request the needed filters.
