Spreadsheet Format
To export the Spreadsheet Format, select Spreadsheet Format and chose whether to have the Columns condensed or expanded from the first drop-down menu. Then chose the value for the Cells, actual choice text or numerical value, from the second drop-down menu.
Condensed versus Expanded export format:
- The condensed format exports each question into a single column. However, multiple answerer question types remain in the expanded format.
- The expanded format exports each answer choice into different columns. For example, each answer choice of a single answer question exports into a separate column. It is best for open-ended questions.
The Matrix Question formatting is the same in both export types. The main question heading exports into row one and the 'row' titles into row two. Each column choice created is listed in a separate column. For example, if the question has 5 rating choices or columns, you will see 5 columns with each rating choice indicated.
