It's a good idea to add a few page breaks to your survey, because the responses for each page are saved only when respondents click the Next or Previous link and successfully advance to a new page

    Note: Responses save by page
     Example Navigation Buttons

Responses for each page are saved only as respondents click the next link and successfully advance to a new page. When they exit the survey, your results are saved for only those pages that have been saved.

     * With a single page survey, you might not collect response! There's a good chance of respondents answering all of the questions and then clicking the Exit Survey link or closing the browser instead of clicking the Done or Submit button required to save the responses. In that case, no responses would be recorded for those respondents. Another issue with a single page survey is the required question feature or validation settings. If you have set required questions or text validation, responses cannot be saved until they have all been answered correctly; if not, the page loops to the top instead of saving! To split pages, click the [Split Page Here] button. When doing so, a page break will be added and the following questions are moved to the next page.

Test Your Survey: You know you want to!

A good way to test the survey is to use the Collector link and add an open-ended Comment question at the bottom of each survey page. Ask your testers to enter their comments, corrections and suggestions into this open comment question. This encourages testers to submit a complete survey, rather than just glancing at it, and it organizes all of your feedback. (Just don’t forget to remove the comments area before launching!)

After testing your survey, you can easily delete the test responses and remove the additional question before actually launching the survey.  Click to see how to delete specific responses.
