How to Create a New Survey

It's a breeze to create a survey with SurveyMonkey.com! This tutorial provides the basic steps.

To Create a New Survey

Click the [Create Survey] button located on the top left of all of the pages in your account to open the create survey page.

Create a New Survey Options

You may create a new survey, copy an existing survey, or use a survey template. 

  1. For your first survey, chose “Create a survey from scratch" or "Use Template."
  2. Title or name your survey.
  3. Click [Create Survey] to open the survey editor and start designing your survey.

Designing Your Survey - Edit Survey Function

The edit survey page is where you will design your survey. From the Edit Survey page you can also access the Survey Options to set the page numbering, navigation links, add a logo, and add a progress bar!

Click Next Step to see how to add questions to your survey.

My Surveys Page

Once you have created a survey, the survey will be visible on your My Surveys page where you will access the design, collector, and analyze tools.

Before creating your first survey, it is import to check to see that you are logged into your account. To do so, check the upper right of your screen and confirm you are logged in. Your username will be visible when you are logged into your account.
