Sending Survey Link in an Email?
From the Collector Summary page, copy the link and paste it for use.
Just copy and paste the code provided to send the survey via your own email client.
Use the link for an email to send the survey link to your recipients using your own email client. Simply highlight the link and copy and paste it for use.
Set and save your survey settings and restrictions before sending your link.
To test the link, copy and paste it into your browser window address bar. (It's always a good idea to test your survey before sending it out!)

We provide the code for you to post the link on your website. If you already have someone coding your website, you can just provide her with the URL provided for your email message above.

Viewing Collectors
After you have created a Collector for a survey, the survey Collectors page for the survey opes when you click the Collect icon on your My Surveys page.
You may also view the Collectors for the survey at any time by clicking the Collect Responses tab while in the Design or Analyze functions.
To view the details of the collector or change the properties of an existing collector, click the Collector name from the Collectors page.
How do I stop Collection?
You may open or close each Collector you create for your survey any time by opening the Collector and selecting to close it. How do I Open or Close the Survey or Collector?
When you open or close the Collector, the link does not change. Should respondents access the link after it's closed the receive the closed survey message you designate for the Collector.
Each Survey has a Collectors Page listing all Collectors:

Clicking the collector name opens the Collector Summary page for that collector.
To collect additional responses for a survey from a different audience with different collector settings, click [Add New Collector > >] located in the top right corner of the page.
* When creating a new Collector, you will need to select the Collector type.

Edit Collector Name
To Edit the Collector Name, click the Edit Name link beside the Collector Name.

Collector Types
Option 1 - The Web Link Collector: (Displayed above)
If you choose the first option, Create a link to send in an email message or to place on a webpage, the links and/or script for the survey to be sent through your own email client or to be posted on your website will be generated for you to copy and paste. This will produce anonymous results.
Option 2 - The Email Invitation Collector:
Click for step by step instructions to create an Email Invitation Collector.
If you choose to have SurveyMonkey.com send an invitation to your email list using the Email Message section, you will be prompted to import or create your email list, customize the message, and schedule the delivery. This will allow you to track your respondents.
Option 3 - The Popup Window Collector:
If you choose the popup invitation, you can customize the popup options and message. The script for the popup message will be provided for you to copy and paste into the back end of your site. This will produce anonymous survey results.
