How do I send the link through my email, i.e., a Web Link collector?

Web Link Features:

  • Get Survey Link: Shows the links/script to paste into your own email message or paste into the back end of your site.
  • Change Settings: Lets you create or edit collector settings.
  • Change Restrictions: Lets you create or edit the collector's restrictions.
  • Manual Data Entry: Allows manual entry of hard copies.
  • Close Collector Now: Closes that Collector.

NOTE: It does collect anonymous responses. To track respondents using this method, click here for additional information.

 

Step 1:

Click the [Collect] icon on the My Surveys page and choose the Web Link option if you are sending the link:

  • Through your own email client.
  • Or posting it on a webpage.
  1. Choose the 1st option of Create link for email message or for a webpage.
  2. Name this collector.
  3. Move to the collector summary page by clicking the [Next Step] button:

Step 2:

The summary page opens to show the survey link and/or code. Click the settings and restrictions button on the left side to determine if you want to configure any of the following features:

  • Allow only one response or multiple responses
  • Allow the survey to be edited or not
  • Set a Survey Completion Option or Thank You page
  • Save or not save Emails or IP addresses

  • Add a cutoff date and time or maximum response count
  • Add a password
  • Enable IP blocking

 

Step 3:

Click the [Get Survey Link] button and then choose between option 1 & 2 for distributing the link.

Option 1. Sending Survey Link in an Email:

Copy and paste this link into the outgoing body message delivered by your own email client.

Option 2. Placing Survey Link on a Webpage:

Copy and paste the HTML code into the back end of your own website.

  • Use this script of code generated by our system. You or your webmaster can add this into your webpage.
NOTE: If additional coding is added or if you use a web design program that alters this code, please check that this exact format is maintained. If not, the survey URL will not work properly.
